Michigan here we come May 18th 2014

We arrived at Detroit-Greenfield RV Park in Ypsilanti, Mi. to meet with our friends to start a tour of the state of Michigan. This is a place that I have wanted to visit for many years. So many people have talked about the beauty of the Great Lakes and now I can see for myself.
The first tour we did was Greenfield Village,

This was quite a step back in history visiting all the historic districts, the working farm, Edison and his inventions, Main Street and all the cars that were on the streets. Henry Ford was an amazing person and during our visit we saw costume's of the period and visited homes of the area.
In addition to Edison several celebrities of the day including J. P Morgan, Marie Curie, Orville Wright, Will Rogers, President Herbert Hoover and John D. Rockefeller, Jr.
I enjoyed seeing a working phonograph and watching the glass blower's create some beautiful glass works. The working farm and the animals always are a joy to see. There is a steam locomotive that takes you around the village.

What fun we had in a beautiful setting.
